Spread cherry or grape tomatoes in a single layer on a plate or in a bowl. Store at room temperature out of direct sunlight, and they should keep for about a week. If your tomatoes are a little bit green, place them in a brown paper bag on your counter for a day or two and they'll ripen. The only time you should even consider chilling tomatoes is when they are about to go bad
